Equality in the society can only be achieved when everyone has the full and same enjoyment of rights and freedoms every human being is entitled to. It refers to a state of fairness, parity, impartiality and sameness. To most, if not all communities equality is still a pipe dream as there is still a lot of discrimination going on mostly on the grounds of gender, race, religion, disability, ethnicity and political affiliation. For example, women, children and minorities have often been victims in the society owing to their gender, tender age and numerical inferiority respectively. The playing field has been skewed in favor of the dominant males, majors and the majority in that order. We however believe we are all equal and we do not recognize the divides that have been drawn up in the society based on gender, age, background, ethnicity, race, religion among other apparatus that have been used to classify people. The playing field should be level through equity and in the end we will all have equal opportunities, rights and privileges.
We lobby for the prevention of all forms of discrimination so that we safeguard and protect human dignity. We also want to raise awareness through educating the public on the merits of promoting equality and of overcoming the all forms of bias in the society. In the same vein, we are tailor-making programs and initiatives that facilitate the eradication of discrimination and other unfriendly treatments. To the victims of discrimination we try to provide remedy that will level the playing field.
