GENERAL QUESTIONS

What do Friendlies do

We protect the most vulnerable children in our community and give them a chance at a bright future through guiding, caring, and providing them with opportunities to reach their full potential.

Where do Friendlies work

We are based in Zimbabwe. We work wherever there are underprivileged or at-risk children in Zimbabwe. Our projects to date have been in Harare and rural Masvingo.

FINANCIAL QUESTIONS

Where do the Friendlies get funding

Friendlies get funding from businesses and individuals.

How do I know what the money I donate is used for

Everyone has the right to know and feel secure that their funding was spent for the greater good. Our pictures and success stories will be updated regularly. Friendlies have a very transparent structure and any donation means a lot to our organisation. We therefore would be happy to get in touch with the donor and show where the funds have been spent. We ask that individuals specify if they would like to donate to a specific cause.

Are there costs that are not tracked or reported

Every cost is accounted for in our organisation, from a bag of sugar to a pair of socks.

How can I donate if I don't live in Zimbabwe

We have set up a go fund me page for overseas donations.

What do the Friendlies need most, Volunteers or Funding

Both are extremely important to us. Volunteers give us time that is critical to helping people, while funding allows the organisation to run smoothly.

Can I donate supplies or you take cash donations only

You may donate any supplies.

Can I start my own fundraiser on your behalf

Yes, this of course would be possible but only on approval by the board as we need to take great measures to ensure that the donors' money is secure.

Who can donate to the Friendlies

Anyone and Everyone.

ABOUT OUR WORK

How do you decide who to help

We, as a board, have to identify the children that are in the most desperate situations and prioritise them. For example, a child that is in urgent need of medical care vs a child who needs school fees to be paid. It is always a big task to choose but we hope we can stretch our donations to meet the needs of the children.

How do you decide where to serve

We have chosen to focus on children for the time being and gradually extend this to other people in our community that are in need.

What kind of help do friendlies provide

We would like to provide a service that specialises in nurturing, guiding, and educating children. This will include financial funding, mental health, medical care, and overall support. We have currently been assisting children and stories that need food, education, and financial support.

How can Brands, Companies, and organisations partner with Friendlies

At Friendlies, we want to create a better life for each child, therefore we would like companies, brands, and organisations to pair up with us. This could be for assisting in donations or giving the children a chance after schooling in training, a job or career in the industry, thus creating a functional program to ensure they create a better life for themselves. We must all play our part in uplifting, educating, and creating productive children and young adults.

Where are you located

Currently, we do not have a company address.
