We are a society, a network of kind-hearted people who made a commitment to humanity to work together to help and improve the lives of the deprived. We want to help the vulnerable; we will achieve this not only by giving hand-outs but by helping them to make ends meet on their own in the long-run. We also want to increase the global consciousness of the plight of those that are deprived.

We are the beacons of love and we have pledged to bear the brunt of that love, even if it is at the expense of our time and resources. We are in pursuit of a better planet where we live in harmony with each other and also with our environment.
In our world there are only two kinds of people namely the Friendlies and the Hostiles. It is our hope that one day, in the not so distant future, everyone on planet earth will become a Friendly. We know that we are not on a fool’s errand; this kind of friendliness can be achieved and will be achieved if we all invest the requisite commitment and togetherness to the cause.
Our Mission
Our mission is to make every person friendly, translating to caring, sharing, harmony, hope and sanity for humanity.
Our Vision
We envision a friendly, healthy, peaceful and happy planet with everyone leading at least a decent life, in harmony with others and the environment. We envision the end of extreme poverty and suffering to vulnerable people.
Our Objectives
- To cultivate a culture of friendliness in the society regardless of gender, political affiliation, color or creed by discouraging all forms of violence and hostilities while promoting tolerance, peace, respect, diversity, brotherly love, sharing, caring and non-violent ways of getting over differences.
- To promote friendliness to the environment by ensuring that humanity lives in harmony with nature.
- To ensure that every person has access to basic needs that include food, shelter, health and education.
- To work towards improving the living standards of the disadvantaged in the society paying particular attention to the disabled, the less-privileged, women and children.
- To promote human rights.
- To mobilise resources for relief during disaster outbreak.
- To join in the fight against HIV/AIDS and other pandemics.

Our Brief Background
The Friendly Society is an apolitical and a nonprofit organization. The organization was founded in November 2015 by Tatenda Elvis Makanda, a Zimbabwean journalist. Mr Ngoni Bayela (an accountant) and Makanda are the founding trustees. At the moment, the initiative is confined only to Zimbabwe but the vision is to spread it to other African countries in five years and to the rest of the world after ten years. We are a procession of Friendlies waving white flags, we are peace-loving, we confront with love and reason. We are an apolitical and a nonprofit organization that only seeks to dignify humanity. We only exist to both serve and save humanity in friendly manners with no agenda to be antagonistic or to cause disorder. Our work targets the person as an individual and we hope this will cascade to the family level, the community and beyond. We start from the bottom to the top hence we use the bottom-up approach as we feel that it is the person at the bottom who is in dire need of help and whose choices can make a difference when it comes to making this world a better place.
Our Membership
Our society has millions if not billions of individuals dotted around the globe, yes millions if not billions! To be part of us one does not necessarily have to register with us, one does not necessarily have to be on our list of Friendlies or in our register. Where ever you are if you believe in the unconditional brotherly and sisterly love we have for humanity, if you care, if you dare and if you can afford to share, you are one of us. We might not know you or your name but if you walk our talk you are definitely one of us and part of our beloved family.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
