Brotherly and sisterly love manifest in many different ways but perhaps the most obvious one is caring. When you care, you do not harm but you heal, you do not ignore the other person’s plight but you listen and you do not fight but you inspire reason through dialogue. When you care you selflessly find time to think about other people’s wellbeing. Caring thus forms the backbone of our endeavor to make this world a better place. We will care for those who need it but most importantly we will capacitate those people in a way that will enable them to take care of themselves and others in the long run. This means we will care and help in a way that will see them standing up on their two feet and develop so that they do not depend on handouts.
